Patrol Officers work 12-hour shifts, 0700-1900 and 1900-0700. Shifts are bid annually according to seniority. Officers have every other Friday, Saturday, and Sunday off. One work day per pay period is an 8-hour day. That's a 182-day work year.

Hire through end of year 5: 3.65
Year 6 - 10: 5.54

Compensatory Time
Accumulated when taking time off, instead of overtime payment.
Up to 120 hours can be accrued.
The department gives each officer 24 hours of supplemental compensatory time.
